File Claims, But Time's Running Out

We thought you would like to know that there is still time to file reimbursement claims (but time is running out) for the following state programs, regardless of whether you are participating in the Mandate Block Grant or not:

  • California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP Testing) for 2016/17: Reimbursable activities include the cost of internet, computing devices/peripherals, and network equipment purchased in 2016/17 and used to administer the test. Also reimbursable is the time spent by test administrators to receive training on how to administer the test.

  • Mandated Reporter Training for 2016/17: Reimbursable activities include the time spent by employees of the LEA to receive training on how to detect and report suspected instances of child abuse and neglect.

  • Cal Grant Opt-Out Notices and GPA Submission for 2015/16 and 2016/17: Reimbursable activities include the costs to provide opt-out notices to high school students and the costs to submit GPA information to the California Student Aid Commission.

Mandates require an active involvement in order to maintain funding and mitigate risk. We would be happy to assist by taking this work on for you—we have the best audit success rate (97%) in the industry! For more information simply reply to this email.

Until next time,

Mike Brown, Good Governance Program Manager
