Drinks made from lemons and sugar date back to 13th and 14th century Egypt, boomed as a business in 15th century Paris, then bubbled with carbonation in 17th century England. Today, I bring you a boozy twist to history’s classic concoction.

Spiked Lemonade

Although it’s the perfect beverage for any 4th of July celebration—this is not your kid’s lemonade, so adults only.

Serves 2

  • 1 cup homemade lemonade

  • ¼ cup vodka

  • ¼ cup limoncello*

  • Ice, for serving

  • Fresh mint for garnish

1 cup homemade lemonade

¼ cup vodka

¼ cup limoncello*

Ice, for serving

Fresh mint for garnish

In a glass, pour in the lemonade, vodka and limoncello.

Add ice, stir, and serve.
