We recently attended the VASS 2023 Spring Conference and learned that chronic absenteeism will continue as an accreditation indicator for the 2023/24 school year. In 2022/23 alone, 34.32% of the 1882 schools in Virginia had an attendance measure not met (L2 or L3). How has your district handled this crisis? What has the new normal looked like?
