Let's Toast to 2022!

It’s that time of year to say ta-ta to the old and “well, hellooo” to the new. I’m not here to give you the good, the bad, and the ugly of ’21. I just want to help you end the year with a little kick!

I have a couple of swell cocktails for your NYE shenanigans that’ll surely get you fired up for fortune in the new year. There’s apples, cinnamon and bubbles…lions, tigers and pugs! (Now that's a party in your mouth!) With no further ado, let’s stop by a joint on K Street in Sacramento to see what they’ve concocted.

The good people at Tiger Bar + Restaurant welcomed me and my designer friends in for a special chat with the owners during Design Week Sacramento in October. They have such a great space and told us all about their history, challenges, and plans for an amazing future. Good luck guys!

Before the chat, they offered us a drink (so we’d be chatty). A cocktail consisting of apple and cinnamon infused vodka, topped off with a splash of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey. It was made perfectly, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Beware, this drink is so delicious that it might cause you to TUI an old flame. Imbibe cautiously! Tiger didn’t give me their recipe, but I found one you can try here. By the way, if you stop by Tiger, you have to try to their S+P Wings. Their big, crispy, juicy, and they say it takes a day and half to make them!

For the champagne folks, I found another apple cinnamon-inspired libation. This apple cider mimosa recipe suggests using a Brut or Prosecco. Cinnamon sugar is a garnish on the rim of the glass. This blog describes how to make it with or without alcohol. It’s a sweet treat for the cuddling couple and easy to share with friends. You can even drink it on a boat with a goat (not in the blog). Sounds fun, yes?

I hope we’ve given you a little inspiration for a fantastic NYE. But whatever you do, just make it great and stay safe!

We wish you a very healthy and prosperous new year!
